“It’s not just the technical skills, it’s the soft skills that I’ve learned while engaging myself in different kinds of meetings.”

More good news from Sydney! This time it’s Sapan who has just landed a job as a senior test analyst. We gave him a call to ask about his time with us and if he would recommend the program to others.

Congratulations on your new job as a senior analyst Sapan! How was your internship with Industry Connect?

Even though my role is a bit different from what I did in MVP Studio, I still believe that there are a lot of things which I learned from MVP Studio.

And it’s not just the technical skills, it’s the soft skills that I’ve learned while engaging myself in different kinds of meetings. Talking to like, developers, talking to you, talking to other tutors… so yeah I do believe that there are a lot of positives which I have grabbed from MVP Studio and that really helped me build that kind of confidence to go up and help me crack those interviews.

I have attended different sessions to make sure that I have all those skills to crack those behavioral questions. And if you don’t know the answer in an interview, how to tackle those kinds of situations.

So yeah, all those sessions I have attended have definitely helped me to be where I am at the moment.

Did a remote internship help you?

Obviously! Because now my role is from home whenever I interact with people over Zoom or over the teams, so I still have that kind of knack of doing well in those kinds of presentations and sessions. So yeah I learned a lot while doing the internship virtually.

What was your favourite part of doing your internship?

I actually really enjoyed the tasks, honestly, because it helped me to find a way how to approach to the problem.

Technical skills are something which can be learned, but how to approach the problem is something which is developed through experience and while working in this internship, while working in those amazing projects, I developed that kind of skill – how to approach your problem then find the exit solution.

So yeah, working in a diverse team, working with a lot of people made me take the help from my colleagues and help me understood how to approach the problem and find a solution.

What else would you like to say or suggest to others?

I do believe that the most important factor which I have learned during the internship is to maintain a positive attitude. I think this is the most important thing because unless you don’t have the belief that you can do it, it will be really hard for you, so you have to believe yourself and give yourself 100 percent and always have the positive mindset and attitude to solve those real problems. If you have that attitude, you have that thing in you that you can do it, nobody’s gonna stop you, so I would highly encourage people to develop that kind of attitude and just take it as a challenge and deep dive into the technology world and learn how to solve those problems.

And finally, would you recommend Industry Connect?

Yeah definitely. Definitely.

Well thank you Sapan! And good luck in your new job as a senior analyst!
